Learning to write poetry can be a lonely experience. Often as an emerging writer it can be a very scary experience to show other people your work for fear of what they might say.
It sometimes helps to be able to let a stranger help you with those first steps towards being a writer. I can cast a supportive eye over your writing and give you email feedback on the language that you have used, the structure and layout and give you ideas about how to edit and further develop your work. If you prefer, I can provide a block of study over a period of six weeks - all levels from complete beginner to advanced can be catered for.
I can also provide poetry workshops where small groups can learn more about the basics of poetry, about the use of imagery, metaphor and simile. Learn how to divide your work into stanzas and split your lines. Or, explore different forms of poetry, such as the haiku, ode, sonnet, cinquain, villanelle and pantoum.
